Our society raises awareness about raw materials and natural resources, and about their impact in the environment and in the geochemistry cycle of the elements, due to technology and search processes. Thus, it justifies this meeting between experts and researchers of Geochemistry, the study of the abundance, distribution and migration of chemical elements and their components in their natural environment.
Their studies are based on natural resources research, water composition, polluted flows modelling or metals spread in different geological environments, elements behaviour in the industrial application along a process not only about the use but also about residual waste, incorporated as pollution to our natural frame, etc. Multidisciplinary science that makes possible to detect and prevent, to mitigate or to correct environmental problems.
These challenge and interest are the main focus on Geochemistry Congresses. The Colegios Profesionales and the Asociación de Químicos (ANQUE) began the organization of National Congresses on Geochemistry in Soria twenty-five years ago.
Today, it is the turn of the Colegio Oficial y Asociación de Químicos de Madrid, they are in charge of the organization of the X National and VII Iberian Geochemical Congress together with the Consejo Superior de Colegios de Ingenieros de Minas, Colegio Oficial de Geólogos and the Geochemistry Group of the Portuguese Geochemistry Society.
We invite all experts on the subject to participate and contribute with their scientific knowledge, their technical expositions, their arguments about the future and their interest on the field of Geochemistry. The social exchange of all these contributions will enhanced the different scientific sections.
The choice of the city of Soria to hold the Congress is due to the great acceptance of its authorities, institutions, companies, people and the culltural and artistic elements that characterize this city.
